The study was carried out mainly to investigate the job satisfaction among academic staff of Adamawa State College of Education, Hong and how it affects their productivity. The population for the study comprised all academic staff of Adamawa State College of Education Hong. Questionnaire was used to collect data from the academic staff in the college. Mean, standard deviation and Z-test of difference between means were used to analyse the data. The findings revealed that, social recognition, cash reward, students academic performance, students indiscipline, in-service training, good working condition, regular promotion influences job satisfaction among academic staff of Adamawa State College of Education Hong and negative attitude of management towards significance of staff welfare, state government ignorance on the importance of providing further training for their workers, cash reward of faithful staff were factors responsible for poor performance among academic staff. Finally suggestions were proffered.
