The study focused on teacher utilization and students’ academic performance in General Metalwork in technical colleges in south south, Nigeria. It sought to examine the relationship between resource utilization and students’ academic performancein General Metalwork in technical colleges in south south, Nigeria. The study was guided by 1 research question and 1 hypothesis which was formulated and tested at .05 level of significance. Correlational research design was adopted for the study. The population of the study was 219 respondents which comprised 45 General Metalwork teachers, while students stood at 174 from the six states in south south, Nigeria. In view of the fact that the population of the study was a manageable size, the researcher used all the teachers and students for the study. The instrument used for the data collection were a checklist titled “Checklist for General Metalwork Teachers (CGMWT) and General Metalwork Achievement Test (GMWAT). The test-retest method was used to establish the reliability of the General Metalwork Achievement Test. Person Product Moment Correlation Statistics and Multiple Linear regression analysis was used to analysis the hypothesis tested at an alpha level of .05 significance. Percentages was used to answerthe research questions and simple percentages was also used to analyse the checklists. The result from the study revealed amongst others that there is a high positive relationship between teacher resources utilization and academic performance of students. Based on this findings, it was recommended that school/college management should ensure resources needed for teaching and learning are made available and properly utilized for effective teaching and learning in order to enhance academic performance of General Metalwork students in technical colleges in south-south, Nigeria.
