This study was carried out to provide insight into the role of recreational exercise in the promotion of healthy aging. Aging is seen as accumulation of changes overtime, a process of physical, psychological and social change. It has been observed that healthy aging can be promoted through exercises by reducing mortality, prevent age-related functional impairment and also help in preventing and treating specific conditions. It was therefore recommended that exercise helps to relieve a wide range of health problems, mental, physical, social, emotional, and psychological.
