This study investigated the extent to which instructional resource earmarked for the teaching and learning of clothing and textile in Lagos State senior secondary schools are available , adequate and utilized. A total of 100 clothing and textile teachers drawn from 10 out of 20 local government areas of Lagos states were used for the study. A stratified random sampling techniques was used to select 10 local government areas. The study employed a survey design. Questionnaire was used for data collection. Data were analysed using mean and t – test at 0.05 level of significance. Findings indicated that some of the possible factors that hinder proper utilization of instructional resources in clothing and textiles in senior secondary school include teachers not being able to operate modern industrial machines , few period for practical classes, parents not encouraging their children in practical work, irregular power supply to operate electrical appliance during practical classes. Based on these findings, recommendations were made.
