The perennial food shortage in Nigeria can be a thing of the past if agricultural science educators can adopt both the theoretical and practical strategies in teaching agriculture in secondary schools. This paper takes a look at the strategies that would bring about better performance of agricultural science students in secondary schools in Nigeria. Some of the strategies examined include Lecture method, discussion method, raising of birds, rearing of goats, rabbit production and the use of field trips/excursions.

This study examines the influence of leadership role of secondary school principals on teachers’ job performance. One hundred respondents from Esan West in Edo State were used for this study. The instrument used for data collection was questionnaire with twenty items. The validity and reliability of the instrument was ascertained by experts. The data was analyzed using percentages according to the research questions formulated. The results of this study revealed that most principals do not motivate their teachers to enhance their job performance.

This study examined the effectiveness of small group teaching method on the junior secondary school students' achievement in Home Economics in Kana State. A quasi experimental research design was adopted. The only two public co-educational secondary government schools in the state were selected from the schools. Two classes were randomly selected from the schools one assigned to experimental group and the other the control group. Forty (40) students were randomly selected from each class.

This study examined the Students’ Perception of the Influence of Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) on academic achievement. The final year students of the Faculties of Agriculture, Engineering, and the Department of Vocational and Technical Education, University of Benin were used for the study. Two hundred and fifty (250) students were sampled. A twenty (20) item questionnaire was designed and the reliability and validity of the instrument was assessed by experts. The data collected were analyzed using mean score and standard deviation.

Hospitality Organization fails as a result of many factors. Common factors as identified by scholars and experts range from inadequate application of strategic management techniques to mismanagement of resources. Management experts postulates that strategic management technique is sine-qua-non to business success, as the management's goal in employing the concept of strategic management techniques (SMT} is to match the organization resources to the threats and opportunities in the environment so as to achieve long term viability of the company.

The paper focuses on the ills of youths activities in Nigeria; it also discussed the benefits of youth empowerment in the country. It extensively presents textile design as a skill that can be used to empower the youth in the country. The paper suggested that skill acquisition should not be left to only Ministry of Women Affairs, private individuals and the offices of first ladies, schools and colleges, but churches and other organizations can as well take up the challenges of developing our youths skillfully so as to avert their negative life.

This study was carried out to determine the level of acceptance of soy-fortified fufu after storage in order to predict the shelf life of the product. The samples were exposed to the range of relative humidities(RH) that the products are marketed in Nigeria (i.e. RH 30 – 90%). Sensory evaluation was carried out by 20 trained home economic students at specific intervals.

This study is directed towards finding relationship that exists between students’ attitude to Chemistry Practicals and their manipulative skill development at College of Education, Oju, Benue State.
