The major preoccupation of adult educators has been on how best to make adult learning more rewarding and efficient. To this end, a number of ideas, theories or propositions have been advanced aimed at promoting and advancing the course of adult learning activities. This also underscores the interest in exploring the ideas or propositions of notable scholars and their implications in relation to adult education practice in general.

Our present school system has not fully taken into consideration the need to build environmental education and consciousness into the school curriculum. It is a truism that technology (especially modern technology) has seriously harmed our local environment causing serious environmental degradation, global warming, depletion of the ozone layer, and serious human health problems.

The study examined health and nutrition in early childhood education for a good beginning. A survey design was used for the study. Three research questions guided the study. The sample for the study comprised eighty-four primary school teachers in Nsukka Education Authority. The instrument for data collection was questionnaire. Mean scores statistics and standard deviations were used for data analysis. Results revealed that health and nutrition were essential for children’s good beginning in childhood education.

The study examines family crisis in a holistic approach. Crisis is a phenomenon in most Nigeria household and solving the problem will be the ultimate solution to building a strong, embedded and reliable family. The main instrument for this study was the questionnaire. A total of one hundred and fifty (150) respondents were used for this study. The respondents were proportionately sampled from Edo Central and Lagos Central.

The study on questioning strategy was undertaken to assess its influence on reading comprehension of secondary school students’ agricultural science texts. Two questioning strategies were compared and the effect of gender difference on active comprehension of the agricultural science texts was estimated. A sample of 180 students (90 males and 90 females) of the senior secondary I (SS1) was selected using the stratified random sampling technique. The instrument used consisted of two sets of achievement of 24 multiple choice items and three comprehension passages for each strategy.

Anti oxidants are commonly found in fruits and vegetables and they function chiefly as organic catalysts in the hormones to aid metabolic process, word-off free radicals that damage the body cells and boost immunity. The family diet being a major tool to ensuring good health status of family members should ensure adequate anti- oxidants food sources as components of their regular diet. This study looked at sources and functions of anticidents and suggested various ways of enhancing anti-oxidant rich food intake a the family level for healthy living.

The study examined listening for effective teaching and learning for children in primary schools. Three research questions guided the study and a descriptive survey design was adopted. The population consisted of all the primary school teachers in Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State. From the population a sample size of 110 teachers was drawn. The data obtained was analyzed using mean and standard deviations. The findings revealed that listening is essentially important for effective teaching and learning for children in primary schools.

The paper discussed information technology with emphasis on its impact on ensuring effective operation in Nigerian Hotels especially the 5-star establishments. It went further to consider high productivity taking cognizance of standard quality of services and products. Information Communication Technology (ICT) has enhanced the level of patronage in the form of high customer turnover and increased profitability. Also the use of high skilled manpower has speeded up productivity and elevated the status of the establishment amidst competitors.

The performance of the education sub-sector was constrained partly by inadequate funding and partly by management of funds. The issue of financing vocational and technical education needs serious emphasis because vocational and technical education provide trained manpower in applied science, technology and commerce. Recent trends however, show that the federal and state governments have realized the significant role which Vocational and Technical Education can play in the economic emancipation of the nation, hence the need for proper funding cannot be overemphasised.

This study examined the effect of pictures supported with audio taped instruction on students’ achievement in selected History contents. Students taught using pictures supported with audio-taped instruction were compared with their counterparts taught conventionally, to ascertain whether differences exist in their mean achievement scores. A simple random sampling technique was used to draw two intact classes of SSI history students from two co-educational schools and randomly assigned to the experimental and control groups.
