E-learning as a medium for teaching and learning is one of the major cost drivers in open and distance learning. The type and quality of e-learning available in an institution depends on how much the institution actually has to expend on it, especially in an open and distance education where the learner is separated from the teacher. This study therefore, examined the total and unit cost of e-learning in three Nigerian universities providing distance programmes through a descriptive survey employing the ex-post facto design.

Retrieving information in the World Wide Web, the world’s largest collection of documents is a challenging and important task. The scale of the WWW is immense, consisting of at least twenty billion publicly visible web pages distributed on millions of servers world-wide. There is no enforcement on adherence to formal protocols to publish in the web. Authors publish in a wide variety of formats, which includes deliberately misleading search platforms and hence increasing the chance of retrieving irrelevant web pages and this action has led to the degradation of search results.

The issue of sustainable educational development in the case of Nigeria borders much on many factors which to a proportionate extent influence or mar students learning in diverse subject discipline. This study therefore examined the effects of social – economic status, academic ability and motivation on students’ academic performance in basic technology along with the challenges for stakeholders and classroom instruction, all for sustainable education and national development.

Primary education is the foundation of formal education on which the subsequent levels of the Nigeria education rest. The issue of implementing appropriate knowledge, skills and attitude in primary school pupils using adequate policy system and qualified teachers has been age long. In view of this, the National Council for Education (NCE) approved Nigeria certificate in education (NCE) as the new minimum teaching qualification. This was immediately reflected in the national policy on Education, 1998 Edition.

This paper focused on the ways teachers operate the Continuous Assessment Mode (CAM) of evaluation at the primary and upper Basic Education Levels (i.e Primary and Junior Secondary Schools) in Old Nsukka Education Zone. A documentary research design was adopted in looking into teachers’ Continuous Assessment booklets. A total of 106 (one hundred and six) primary schools, and 15 (fifteen) junior secondary schools were used. No sample was drawn since the entire population of schools in the respective levels were used in the study.

The young and the old are expected to continue to learn through various means and this learning can be delivered formally, informally and non-formally. Adult and continuing education provide additional and better learning opportunities for the young and older adults. The dramatic changes in society and technology require constant enlargement of information and knowledge which adult and continuing education seek to foster. This paper examines the issue of adult and continuing education. It begins by taking a look at the meaning of adult education and continuing education.

Conflict can be a serious problem in any organization. It might not bring about the demise of an organization, but it certainly can hurt an organization's performance as well as lead to the loss of many good employees. However, as we shall discover in this study, all conflicts are not bad. Conflict has a positive side as well as a negative side. The focus of this study is on conflict and its management in formal organizations with particular reference to tertiary institutions in Nigeria comprising universities, colleges of Education, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Technology.

There are individual differences among students in a specific classroom. A teacher in the classroom is therefore faced with these individual differences. Student exhibit some forms of behaviour in classroom which are said to be undesirable. Such behaviour include, throwing of papers, out of seat, fighting, inattentiveness, gum chewing, deliberate violation of regulation. The teacher’s task therefore is to ensure that such problems in the classroom are curbed. However, the most frequently occurring classroom problems are cases of stealing and cheating.

This paper examined the application of Behavioural Management Theories to the management of educational institutions in Nigeria. It shed light on the meaning and concept of Behavioural Management Theories, its historical development and viewed the work of one of its outstanding advocates. Moreover, it considered some of the strengths and weaknesses associated with the Behavioural Management School of thought. Finally, it examined its application to management of educational organizations in Nigeria.

This paper highlights information and communication technology as a tool in implementing Technological Engineering Project Management. It also raises emphasis on some of the common management techniques and presents instances of their implementation using computer packages and software. Recommendations were made for proper implementation of technical and engineering projects using Information and Communication Technologies.
