This paper is centered on the problems and prospects of the Technical College Teacher in Nigeria. It explicates the relevance of Technical Education programme The paper recognizes the implications of the National Policy on Education (NPE) for technical (technological) education, the new curriculum development by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), the changing business and technology environment, the personal, professional and public image of the technical teachers.

The research design of the study is a survey that examined the problems associated with the implementation of community development in Egor, Edo State. The community have suffered lack of development and provision of social amenities and infrastructure. The study used a proportional sample of 250 persons for the study in the area. Their response to the 15-item questionnaire were analyzed using a simple percentage. It was found that lack of initiative, problem of administration and funding are some of the problems affecting Egor community in Egor local government area of Edo State.

This paper is a philosophical inquiry on the relevance of philosophy in educational development. It maintained that philosophy and education are inseparable entities. Such assertion is based on the fact that education includes philosophy but, philosophy controls education. From this angle of thought, the paper stated what philosophy is, as well as its distinction and relationship between education and philosophy of education. It discussed the elements of philosophical foundations of education.

In this study, an attempt is made to examine the relationship between occupational stress among academic staff and the quality of service delivery. The study involves a sample on 150 academic staff (lecturers) out of the 449 lecturers currently in services of Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi as at 31st, March, 2011 through the judgemental sampling technique. A 15-item questionnaire constructed by the researchers, validated by three experts and which as an internal consistency coefficient of 28 percent served as the instrument of data collection.

Fraud and corruption are issues of great concern to management of any organization due to their devastating effects on the system. This study examines management involvement and the limit of forensic accounting as means of preventing the issues. To conduct the study, some relevant literatures were reviewed and a well validated questionnaire was developed and administered to the study population through sampling. Data obtained were analysed using frequency distribution, and Pearson Product Moment Correlation.

There are potentials in subjecting the principle of corporate social responsibility to legal regimes such that by government playing its part through providing the enabling environment for the oil industry to operate, the industry must be legally bound to deliver to its society and environment. The Nigerian Content Law is considered as one of such legal regimes through which the social responsibility of the oil companies can be subjected to strict legal compliance.

The paper investigated influence of retraining programme on primary school teachers self-efficacy and social support. Applying the survey design, the study made use of a sample of three hundred and eighty three (383) primary school teachers in Ebonyi State who attended the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) retraining programme. Two research questions and two hypotheses guided the study. It was found that influence of retraining programmes on primary school teachers self-efficacy and social support in teaching does not depend on location.

The major preoccupation of adult educators has been on how best to make adult learning more rewarding and efficient. To this end, a number of ideas, theories or propositions have been advanced aimed at promoting and advancing the course of adult learning activities. This also underscores the interest in exploring the ideas or propositions of notable scholars and their implications in relation to adult education practice in general.

Our present school system has not fully taken into consideration the need to build environmental education and consciousness into the school curriculum. It is a truism that technology (especially modern technology) has seriously harmed our local environment causing serious environmental degradation, global warming, depletion of the ozone layer, and serious human health problems.
