Primary education is the foundation of formal education on which the subsequent levels of the Nigeria education rest. The issue of implementing appropriate knowledge, skills and attitude in primary school pupils using adequate policy system and qualified teachers has been age long. In view of this, the National Council for Education (NCE) approved Nigeria certificate in education (NCE) as the new minimum teaching qualification. This was immediately reflected in the national policy on Education, 1998 Edition.
This paper focused on the ways teachers operate the Continuous Assessment Mode (CAM) of evaluation at the primary and upper Basic Education Levels (i.e Primary and Junior Secondary Schools) in Old Nsukka Education Zone. A documentary research design was adopted in looking into teachers’ Continuous Assessment booklets. A total of 106 (one hundred and six) primary schools, and 15 (fifteen) junior secondary schools were used. No sample was drawn since the entire population of schools in the respective levels were used in the study.
The young and the old are expected to continue to learn through various means and this learning can be delivered formally, informally and non-formally. Adult and continuing education provide additional and better learning opportunities for the young and older adults. The dramatic changes in society and technology require constant enlargement of information and knowledge which adult and continuing education seek to foster. This paper examines the issue of adult and continuing education. It begins by taking a look at the meaning of adult education and continuing education.
Conflict can be a serious problem in any organization. It might not bring about the demise of an organization, but it certainly can hurt an organization's performance as well as lead to the loss of many good employees. However, as we shall discover in this study, all conflicts are not bad. Conflict has a positive side as well as a negative side. The focus of this study is on conflict and its management in formal organizations with particular reference to tertiary institutions in Nigeria comprising universities, colleges of Education, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Technology.
There are individual differences among students in a specific classroom. A teacher in the classroom is therefore faced with these individual differences. Student exhibit some forms of behaviour in classroom which are said to be undesirable. Such behaviour include, throwing of papers, out of seat, fighting, inattentiveness, gum chewing, deliberate violation of regulation. The teacher’s task therefore is to ensure that such problems in the classroom are curbed. However, the most frequently occurring classroom problems are cases of stealing and cheating.
This paper examined the application of Behavioural Management Theories to the management of educational institutions in Nigeria. It shed light on the meaning and concept of Behavioural Management Theories, its historical development and viewed the work of one of its outstanding advocates. Moreover, it considered some of the strengths and weaknesses associated with the Behavioural Management School of thought. Finally, it examined its application to management of educational organizations in Nigeria.
This paper highlights information and communication technology as a tool in implementing Technological Engineering Project Management. It also raises emphasis on some of the common management techniques and presents instances of their implementation using computer packages and software. Recommendations were made for proper implementation of technical and engineering projects using Information and Communication Technologies.
This research paper was designed to examine the roles of mentorship in the training of Business Education teachers in Nigeria. The concept of mentorship was examined with specific references to other scholarly works in the area. The authors developed a conceptual framework to properly illustrate what mentorship is all about. The framework examined some variables and the two main actors in mentorship were examined. The model equally emphasized the various mentoring strategies which include: traditional one-to-one, team, group, peer and e-mentoring.

This paper examined the role of Entrepreneurship Education in ensuring Economic Empowerment and Development in Nigeria. The conceptual framework developed by Shapero and Sokol in 1982 was used in illustrating the series of stages and processes that eventually give birth to the formation of a business venture; and three (3) stages were identified in the model. The concept of Entrepreneurship Education was briefly examined in relation to Economic Development. The paper briefly examined the concept of Entrepreneurship Education including its goals and objectives.
