This research paper was designed to examine the roles of mentorship in the training of Business Education teachers in Nigeria. The concept of mentorship was examined with specific references to other scholarly works in the area. The authors developed a conceptual framework to properly illustrate what mentorship is all about. The framework examined some variables and the two main actors in mentorship were examined. The model equally emphasized the various mentoring strategies which include: traditional one-to-one, team, group, peer and e-mentoring.

The mass media has played several roles in promoting the political, economical and especially the educational aspect of the nation. Mass media has been a veritable tool in giving out information in Adult Education. It has helped in mobilizing programme participants in adult education. This paper examined the role of mass media in promoting Adult education programmes. To this end, the paper discussed the relevant concepts of mass media and adult education, the various forms of mass media.

This paper examined the role of Entrepreneurship Education in ensuring Economic Empowerment and Development in Nigeria. The conceptual framework developed by Shapero and Sokol in 1982 was used in illustrating the series of stages and processes that eventually give birth to the formation of a business venture; and three (3) stages were identified in the model. The concept of Entrepreneurship Education was briefly examined in relation to Economic Development. The paper briefly examined the concept of Entrepreneurship Education including its goals and objectives.

The purpose of this study was to determine the prevalence of obesity among residence in Benin City metropolis. Specifically the study determined, eating style, types of diet consumed majorly. The study was carried out in Benin City, Nigeria; Population for the study comprised 1,147,188 people in Benin City metropolis. A convenient sampling technique was used to select 600 residences for the study. The instrument for data collection was structured questionnaire. Frequencies and percentages were used for data analysis.

The function of vocational guidance services in primary schools in Yaba Local Government Area depends on its application. Guidance is the process whereby an individual is helped to understand himself. The problem in guidance services is that of the complexity of guidance services, equipment and lack of adequate knowledge in the handling of testing instruments in one hand and none availability of these instruments for most students in the other hand. Teacher education programme can remedy any negative effect.

The study investigated technical teachers’ perception and readiness for e-leaning instructional delivery in technical schools in Niger state. The study employed a survey research design. The sample for the study comprised one hundred technical teachers. An instrument tagged e-learning technical teachers’ perception and readiness questionnaire (ELETPRQ) was used for the study. The internal consistency of the instrument was established using Cronbach Alpha which yielded a reliability of 0.82. Four hypotheses were postulated for the study.

Social studies as a diversified curriculum have moved away from the study of the immediate environment to a more complex subject that helps to address issues across national boundaries. The focus of this study is to examine the concept of the new world order and its effects on the global system. The role of social studies is to inculcate in the young ones the knowledge, skills, and attitudes that will enable them to participate as full members of a global society and to understand the global dimension to topical issues that affect them in their communities.

Through research we are able to understand what we do not know and we are able to extend the frontiers of knowledge which can help in arriving at solutions to our problems and developing our society. Through research, we get to know new things (innovations) and this is also true of business education as a discipline. This paper is centred on the relevance of indigenous technology education in Nigeria as panacea for unemployment and national development. It focuses on the need for top quality hands-on practical skills training for middle level man power in the areas of primary and intermediate technology. This will facilitate national technology process, socio-economic welfare and create job opportunities.

This study was carried out to provide insight into the role of recreational exercise in the promotion of healthy aging. Aging is seen as accumulation of changes overtime, a process of physical, psychological and social change. It has been observed that healthy aging can be promoted through exercises by reducing mortality, prevent age-related functional impairment and also help in preventing and treating specific conditions. It was therefore recommended that exercise helps to relieve a wide range of health problems, mental, physical, social, emotional, and psychological.
